The Rising Sons – order your copy now!

ORDERS can now be placed for a copy of ‘The Rising Sons’, a new book detailing Dumbarton’s rise over the last six years.

Written by journalist Andrew Galloway, formerly from a section of the West Dunbartonshire local press, the book tells how Sons have gone from being Scotland’s third-bottom team in 2008 to a memorable 2013/14 campaign.

It records the appointments and departures of Jim Chapman and Alan Adamson as manager, along with current gaffer Ian Murray’s tenure to date.

Copies are available at £15, which includes a £2 donation to the Sons Supporters Trust. Payment can be made upon collection of the book.

The book will be launched on Saturday, August 16 at 1pm in the supporters’ bar at the Bet Butler Stadium, before Sons play Queen of the South. All supporters are invited to the launch.

To order a copy, please leave a comment on this story, stating how many copies you want to order. If you’re viewing this as a stand-alone story, the form is at the bottom of the page. If you’re reading it on the home page, you’ll find ‘Leave a reply’ under the headline.

IMPORTANT – Please note that any ordered copies not collected by the time the supporters’ bar closes post-match on Saturday, August 16 will be put back on general sale.

ALSO IMPORTANT – Please leave a reply on this post to order copies even if you are going to either of this week’s matches at Clydebank or Raith Rovers. There will be a facility for fans who can’t access the internet to order copies on the trust’s bus to Kirkcaldy, but it just makes it easier to keep all the orders together!

  1. Two copies for me please. A Mr. Big Rab will collect as I’m geographically challenged. Enjoying the blog: keep up the great work. Please change that egg at Twitter for something more interesting…
